Gus Harper

SHAREHOLDER

Mr. Harper is a shareholder of the firm, and serves as General Counsel to a number of clients across numerous industries, including healthcare, technology, construction, staff and labor, pubic service, and education.  A proficient litigator, Mr. Harper has also defended countless clients at trial in legal matters ranging from personal injury law to complex civil fraud and criminal defense, and from employment law to commercial litigation.  Mr. Harper’s day-to-day practice primarily involves advising and representing clients on matters involving general business and corporate law, contract development and implementation, employment law, risk management, policymaking and development, and defending employers against claims of workplace discrimination.  Mr. Harper represents individuals, entities, and organizations on all matters related to day-to-day operational issues, corporate formation, alteration, mergers and acquisitions, and transactions.

Born in Gainesville, Florida but raised in Tallahassee, Mr. Harper graduated from Florida State University with high honors in only three years, and later attended law school at University of Florida, and as a Dean’s List student graduated in only two years.  Prior to joining GardnerBist, Mr. Harper worked at a large international law firm, a medium-sized statewide law firm, and also successfully owned and operated his own firm.  Over the years, Mr. Harper has been routinely recognized as a leading attorney by The Best Lawyers in America publication, Legal Trend Magazine, and the U.S. News and World Report.
